Hi folks,

For those who know me I like a challenge. I wanted to try my hand at a marathon and I thought I would aim high for my 1st, so I entered the 2009 New York Marathon on Nov 1st this year not expecting to get in... well I have! I think I'm happy, I definately know my wife is as she sees it as 4 days shopping...

Anyway to the serious bit. Having now realised the training I have to do I am going to need some serious motivation over the coming months. Therefore I have chosen the charity that means the most to me personally, the "Edinburgh Sick Kids Friends Foundation".  You can read the blurb here, all I know is they make a difference.

Any donation you can spare is much appreciated. 26 miles 385 yards here I come.
