Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

THE CHALLENGE
In April 2009 I will be heading to Nepal to trek from Lukla to Base Camp at the foot of the world's highest moutain; Everest. The trek in the remote Himlayas will take two weeks at high altitude (up to 5,647m) - most definitely not a holiday!

To add to the challenge, I aim to raise £600 in 6 weeks before I go to help a very worthwhile cause...

WHY I'M DOING THIS
I am raising money for Ellesmere Port & Neston Special Olympics (an affiliate of Special Olympics GB), specifically the amazing and inspiring group of footballers I coach - AFC West Cheshire Dynamos. This team is the only one of it's kind in Cheshire and allows players of all abilities, ages and backgrounds from the surrounding areas to take part in fun training and competitions across the country.

I have paid for my expedition myself in full and made a £100 contribution to Ellesmere Port & Neston Special Olympics but want to try and raise some further funds in the weeks leading up to the trek as any extra will make a big difference.

WHAT YOU CAN DO
Sponsoring me through Justgiving is the complete opposite of what the trek will be...it's quick and easy!

It’s also efficient and secure and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me and support a fantastic cause, whatever you can give, now!

Thanks, wish me luck! Andy
