Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

Nicoletta Langton died 18th September 2005 aged, 75.

Thank you all that have supported me so far.  I still have £200 to raise, I know this shows I have met my target but the tax releif is not counted as part of the funds raised so nearly there!.  So dig deep every pound does help.  Thanks to you all that have helped raised this money the group so far have raised £160,000!!!!! Which will make a big difference, without you the public this could never happen. From me and my family a huge thank you.

My mum was a great woman and I have made the decision to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Relief who helped my mother through her very difficult illness.

This is a great photo of Nicoletta in her teens, a beauty or what?! A women who battled cancer for 8 years. A woman who never complained and a woman who would live and die for her children. Nicoletta found her strength in her strong beliefs and her will to be a good wife and a good mother, up to the bitter end. My Mum was a fun loving and very cheeky character with a sense of humour which was contagious. Even when cancer first struck, she still found the strength to continue to work and provide for her husband and family. Having had chemotheraphy treatment twice, the third proved just too much. Nicoletta I hope had done everything her heart had desired, she had a family who loved her so much and friends who loved and cherished her. Her only one regret was not being able to see her great grandchild. I have chosen Macmillan Cancer Relief as there is still so much research and help needed for cancer sufferers. Everyone I have spoken to has a relative or a friend who is either suffering from this tragic disease or has died from cancer. I want to be able to do my bit for this fantastic charity. So I ask you to donate to this charity and send this web page onto as many people as you can who would donate to such a worthwhile cause. Nicoletta would be so proud to know that funds could be raised for this worthwhile charity and to know it would help others who went through the same as her. Nicoletta's spirit will live on through her family as each of her children has her traits. Nicoletta can rest and know that her family do love her and that her memory will live on through them. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me. Macmillan Cancer Relief will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. My challenge is to hike along ancient and remote sections of The Great Wall of China, in September 2006. Mad I hear you say?! This is a challenging trek due to the many steep, stepped sections, including "Heaven's Ladder" which is a climb of over 300 steps. With frequent ascents and descents, the variety of terrain will be all part of this challenge. So please sponsor me now! I want to raise as much money for cancer research so that it can continue to help cancer patients in the UK. God bless them all. Many thanks for your support.
