A brave and courageous team of people have decided to do a charitable ride from Manchester >Blackpool to raise awareness of Angelman Syndrome and of Assert.

Assert is a United kingdom based support group, who are all volunteers, who have direct contact with people with Angelman Syndrome. Angelman Syndrome is a rare genetic condition that affects around 1/20000 individuals. It's a chromosome disorder that causes severe learning difficulties. Since the condition was first identified in 1965 to date only about 400 cases have been diagnosed in the UK. This number is increasing due to the improvement and ease of genetic testing.
