Thank you for visiting my fund raising page.
When Tony Meire asked whether I would be interested in supporting his cycle ride through the desert in aid of the Kent Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre, I said yes. When that turned into an invitiation to join in, I confess that I hesitated. Gym? Cycling for six hours on average each day? How many miles on the last day, sixty-five?!...
But the value of the work of the Centre, and its contribution to the lives of people struck by this unforgiving disease, is certainly worth the commitment. The Centre needs to raise about £1.5m to rehouse itself, the pre-fab building was built in 1984 and has had to do for much longer than was intended. Tony's cycle challenge is yet another part of his own commitment to the Centre.
So I agreed. And have joined the gym.... You can help without going anywhere near a torture, I mean, cycle machine, by donating through this web-site.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Kent Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
