Thanks for visiting my fundraising page again for an update and this time I can now say that I have run the course!

I would like to sincerely thank you, all my sponsors (on and off-line) for your incredibly generous donations. I met the little boy recently whose wish you have all helped to grant. It feels good to know exactly how your sponsorship has helped and reminded me of my reasons for running.

Well, I finished in 5 hours and 45 seconds so did not quite meet my target of under 5 hours but did meet one which was to finish running (call it shuffling to be more accurate) and not to stop at all. Thought I had finished in 4 hours 57mins as that is what my expensive garmin watch read at the end but hey ho why quibble over a few mins over that distance and the official time must be right!

It was an amazing experience with a brilliant crowd, music and entertainment throughout, almost like a carnival were it not for the fact that one had to run the distance! However, it was far too hot and I can honestly say it is was pretty tough particularly the last couple of miles!

Today, Wednesday is the first day since the run that I have been able to walk!

Time to go for a gentle run again...
