Story

I RAN THE LONDON MARATHON !!!!!!!!!

AND FINISHED !!(more importantly)

Well it's all over now, apart from collecting all my donations and dealing with the pain in my legs!

I really want to say thank you, and that it was all your support, wishes and donations that got me through it.

Trust me to choose to run the marathon on the hottest marathon day for years!!!

The heat was bad but not as bad as my legs felt at 24 miles, but the crowd were amazing and so was the atmosphere.

It was a great experience, and I am saying this the morning after with the pain still quite apparent.

My supporting team there on the day did a sterling job, making it quite obvious to all where they were on route. I am guessing that they are all probably quite hoarse today after all their cheering.

I am still adding up donations and will enter my off line donations shortly to get my total. I know I have said it  before but really mean it THANK YOU.

As you all know the money raised by you all goes to Cancer Research, my chosen charity. It was this terrible disease that we lost Martina to and hopefully the money raised by you all can prevent other families going through the pain and heartache of the loss of a much loved family member.

Martina passed away three years ago on April 14th 2007 and had she been here with us today would of been 27 so it is quite fitting that it is the 27th anniversary of the London marathon this year.

Please keep visiting the site because as soon as I get my finishing photos I will post them on here and would love to share them with you all.

I have been touched by all your generousity, kind words and support. Matt will probably be looking forward to actually having a day off that does not involve my marathon training plans and I am looking forward in the present future having a bit of spare time.

A big thank you to all the support I have been given with regards to looking after Joseph, as without this I would not have been able to train. You know who you all are so be proud of your part too!

THANK YOU ALL XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cancer Research UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me? It's not too late!

Love Anne x
