Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
In 2007, my nephew Zach was diagnosed with Apert Syndrome, a rare chromosonal disorder which causes certain bones to fuse too early during pregnancy leading to a variety of complications. In his first eighteen months, young Zach has already undergone six painful operations on his head and hands with the prospect of many more to come.
The Children's Trust provide fantastic support and care for children like Zach and your contribution will make a huge difference. I've never run a marathon before and am dreading all the early morning runs through the winter but I know it will be all worth it on the 26th April.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Children's Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
I am now the proud owner of a London Marathon Finisher's medal having come through in 3 hours and 53 minutes. It was very tough and the temperature was hotter than expected...great for the spectators not so good for the runners!
Thanks for all your support, you have been incredibly generous and I know that the Children's Trust will put the money to very good use.
