Story
Dear friends
Well it's been 3 years since my diagnosis and treatment for head and neck cancer. Some of you may know I was talking of Cycling Egypt with Fern, but my sudden battle with the Big C put a stop to that. Well a year after diagnosis I had a go at the London Marathon and managed 21 miles before hypothermia got the better of me, but because of you, I still managed to raise nearly £3000. Anyway, that and work commitments meant I couldn't cycle India last year so I reckon third time lucky... Now, you've all had over a year without being badgered to give me money, so don't complain. I know there's a credit crunch, but think of the people who have far more to worry about than paying for those new Jimmy Choos. There are women out there who are battling cancer, facing infertility or losing babies who have brain injuries or genetic diseases who need your help. All you have to do is donate, they have to cope with devastating news and uncertain futures.
So what am I doing about it? Well I'm going to the Caribbean...of course! Cuba in fact. Tough eh... well yes actually it is..in fact I'm kind of in denial as I've signed up to Cycle 370Km in 5 days! I'm not even a keen cyclist to be honest...and I can tell you from the few rides I've done, neither is my bottom!
So please donate... just so you'll have a right to see the photo's of my humiliation!
Thanks all
Anya x
