Story
Hi folks, thanks a lot for taking a bit of time out of your day to visit my JustGiving page.
In my opinion Allister Boyd is true hero, Allister worked so hard after his diagnosis to help other people affected by cancer and to raise awareness and funding for charities such as Clic Sargent and the Teenage Cancer Trust. Ally lost his battle with cancer in April and although he is gone he will never be forgotten and in his memory our group plans to climb to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro on the 15th of June 2010. Mount Kilimanjaro stands at 5891m above sea level and is the tallest free standing mountain in the world.
Were not just doing this for the view but to raise some money for Clic Sargent. Clic are an awesome charity! Our goal is to raise as much money as possible to help them continue to work absolute wonders in helping young people and the families of young people who have been affected by cancer.
All the money we raise is going to Malcom Sargent House in Prestwick, Ayrshire and it will be used to help ease the suffering cancer causes by providing holidays to families that have been affected by cancer.
Allister was and still is an inspiration to so many people and I feel very proud to have known him.
