Raising money for The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of blind and partially sighted people never leave home alone. Guide Dogs empowers visually impaired people to do that and relies totally on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service. We breed and train guide dogs which provide life changing mobility and there are currently 4,500 working guide dog partnerships in the UK. The full lifetime cost of a guide dog from birth to retirement is £48,500. We will not rest until blind and partially sighted people can enjoy the same freedom of movement as everyone else. I am very keen to take part in this event and raise as much as I can for the 75th anniversary of Guide Dogs. This will also be in memory of Daisy my first Guide Dog who died just before Christmas last year at the grand old of age of 14½.
