Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

The Irish Challenge (for more info click here)  is a 500 mile relay from Blarney Castle to Dublin via Killarney and Galway with teams from companies like Cisco, HP, Amicus and also AXA Wealth.

We’ll be leaving on the Swansea – Cork ferry on the evening of Wednesday 29th September and returning on the Dublin - Holyhead ferry on Sunday 3rd October 2010, hopefully, avoiding the obvious hazards of Ireland (Guinness, Jameson’s and the Corrs!).

Four intrepid explorers (mad IT people) from AXA Wealth have taken up this challenge and kitted out in tight fitting Lycra emblazoned with our new corporate logo we’re hoping to raise as much money as possible for the chosen charities.  Half of the money will go towards the St Michael’s hospice a charity very close to IT hearts, in dedication to Gill Bond,  whilst the other half will be split between Cancer Research UK and the British Heart Foundation.

These are great charities and really require our support so please dig as deep as you can afford and donate now.

In addition, there are a few side bets that we are hoping will help to swell the fund:-

How many times Andy will get lost

How many times Steve will fall off his bike, ride into a hedge or just simply fall down a ditch

How many times Kevin will get stung by wasps

How many times Ian will utter some words that anyone can understand
