Story
Everything started in 2007, when I received as a present a pair of running shoes and now in 2010 I 'am finally running the marathon on the 25April. It is exciting and terrifying at the same time because a 42km run is not really a walk in the park! A bloody long walk....Yes, blisters and injuries are distant memories now and I am fit for the great day.
For this event, I have chosen, in a true Anglo- Saxon style to support a charity: The Stroke Association which aims to reduce strokes through research and health education and also help and support people and their families who have been affected by stroke, through their Community Services. My choice is based on a personal reason as few members of my family including my father – greatly missed but not forgotten – suffered from this horrible illness. I am sure, wherever he may be now; he is supporting me in this challenge!
Many Thanks for your donations and support. Hug and kisses.
I hope to see some of you throughout the race and look for the blue number 21613.
Baci e abbracci WISH ME LUCK!!!! Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
