We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer
Story
SHINE
On 17th April 1933 our Dad, Barry Ancill was born. On 11th August 2005, our Dad lost his life to stomach cancer.
We know we are not alone in our loss, as unfortunately he is one of many who lose their life to cancer.
On 17th April 2010, my sisters and myself will be taking part in Shine Manchester, a unique night time walking event organised by Cancer Research . As it is our Dad’s birthday we want to walk the maximum distance - 26.3 miles through the night in his name.
I know you are asked for money on a regular basis but please, please help us to raise as much as we can in our Dad’s name to go towards Cancer Research. Between the 3 sisters we are aiming to raise £2k and your donation will help us to celebrate our Daddy’s birthday and memory by making a difference.
Thank you for your generosity!
We‘re the world‘s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving and improving lives through research. We fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.
