Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We have decided to jointly celebrate our 40th year in 2010 and will be celebrating the day with friends and family on Saturday 17th July. We have requested no presents but would rather our friends give the money to charity and a good cause. The weekend before our party Barry is cycling 370 miles from Bristol to Paris having entered his mid life crisis - what you may notice is a slimmed down version after this event!
We have chosen two charities, this page is for the amazing work of The Down's Syndrome Association do. One in 1,000 babies every year are born with this condition Down's syndrome is not a disease. People with Down's syndrome are not ill and do not "suffer" from the condition. People with the syndrome will have a degree of learning difficulty. However, most people with Down's syndrome will walk and talk and many will read and write, go to ordinary schools and lead fulfilling, semi-independent lives. With your help this organisation can provide support and advice to new parents and continue their good work.

Many thanks
