On Sunday 7 June, I did Zip Slide from the Tyne Bridge in aid of St Cuthbert’s Hospice.
This meant hurtling over the River Tyne on a 230 metre long Zip Wire at a speed of 20mph with a Hangover!!!
St Cuthbert’s Hospice are a fantastic Charity providing specialist palliative care for those with life threatening illnesses with the emphasis being on quality of life. All their services are provided free of charge to individuals, their families and carers. The Hospice costs £1.6 million pounds per year to run and depends on the generosity of local people for over two thirds of its funding.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: St Cuthbert's Hospice gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
If you don't want to donate online, you can either give myself, Emma or Lucy Baxter a cash donation which we will pass onto the Hospice on your behalf.
Alternatively, you can post a cheque made payable to "St Cuthbert's Hospice" to Lucy Baxter, Development Team Leader, St Cuthbert's Hospice, Park House Road, Merryoaks, Durham, DH1 3QF. Please make sure that "Barry Hunt's Zip Slide" is written on the back of the cheque so that the Hospice know which event the donation refers to!!!
My employer is matching my donations, meaning the Hospice will benefit even more from your contribution.
Many thanks for your support,
Barry and everyone at St Cuthbert's Hospice
