Holly is 4 years old and has Rett Syndrome. This a rare and very severe neurological disorder which almost exclusively effects girls. Holly can not talk, walk, use her hands, feed or dress herself and has just recently started to have breathing problems. It is likely that she will suffer epilespsy and scoliosis. Holly will need 24 hour care for the rest of her life.

Battledown Centre for Childrens Families have helped Holly's family through this change in their lives, by supporting them and teaching Holly through therapies, daily routines and allowing her how to grow. 

Essentially we are helping Holly's family fundraise for an Eye Gaze computer. The Eye Gaze computer will allow Holly to commincate and learn, hopefully giving her some independence. Holly's family will work with her teachers and therapists to ensure that she uses it in the right way, and continues to enjoy school, and learn.
