We arrange challenges and events to raise money for children in need

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 24th January 2011  I am starting my seven day climb of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania hoping to reach the snow-capped summit, Uhuru Peak, at a momentous 5,896 meters/19,340 feet.  A once in a lifetime challenge, not to be taken lightly.  I can expect freezing cold temperatures at night and burning sun during the day. The reward for pushing my limits physically and mentally will not only be the spectacular views from the roof of Africa but more importantly the knowledge that I have been able, in a small way, to provide help and support for a group of children.

The funds raised will benefit profoundly deaf children in need of cochlear implantation in the UK and France. Your kind donation will enable deaf children to have the chance to hear the conversations of their families, to speak and to reach their potential. A proportion of the funds raised will also benefit two Tanzanian schools supporting Aids orphan projects where after my climb I will be working.

May I thank you all for your support. I have read the trinaing manula -- just need to put it into practise now!.
