Later this year I'll be taking part in the New York Marathon in an attempt to both complete the distance in under 4 hrs (God help me!!) and to raise some money for charity. This time I've decided to run for Marie Curie, the cancer charity that helps those with the disease spend thier days in the comfort of their own home and offer support to both patients and families through what is a very emotional and stressful time. The nursing care they offer is always free of charge and these nurses work night and day to help sufferers live their lives with dignity and comfort. Unfortunately most of us know someone that has been struck down with cancer and that may oneday need the help of the Marie Currie Nurses so please be generous.

 

I'll be off now to get reaquainted with the Rocky soundtrack, a set of sweatbands and the streets of Manchester, wish me luck!!
