Story
I've booked a table for dinner at one of my favourite eateries - the Crannog in Fort William - on June 20. I've invited three good friends but I thought they should feel they deserved such a treat. So don't tell them but we're taking the long way to the restaurant - via the top of Ben Nevis, a 25-mile bike ride and a paddle around Loch Lochy. Apart from our own tummies at the end, the main beneficiary will be the quest to treat or cure retinitis pigmentosa, the most common cause of blindness in working people in the UK - including me. We'll be digging deep - and we hope you can too.
