Story
We have all completed the run and are currently recovering, we would like to thank everyone for their support and will shortly send out a little something for everyone that supported us. There is unfortunately not a final total for the amount raised yet, we are estimating that our part in this run has helped to raise an incredible £1,500; although this is still an estimate and we will confirm exactly in due course.
Thanks again to all our supporters and also a BIG thanks to the organizers and support team that was involved.
We have only a few days left before the run, we were on BBC Radio Berkshire on the 13/05/2009 and this at viewed at http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p003106v/Sarah_Walker_13_05_2009 (2 hours, 10 minutes and 10 seconds is the start of the interview with Dave, Daryl and Kevin)
Thanks for visiting our Royal Signals - Berkshire Yeomanry fundraising page.
We intend to run 65 miles for the main forces charities; we will be going from Tarrant Rushton were the gliders left to Pegasus bridge in France, unfortunately the boat trip is not included in the 65 miles. We will be running as a squad and although Part-Time soldiers, this ultra marathon is beyond anything that any of us has done before.
All the money raised will be shared amongst the forces charities. (Help for Heroes, RAFBF, Army Benenolent Fund, BLESMA, ST Dunstans and the Royal British legion)
www.project65.net is where more information can be found about the run, for more information about the BIG BY (Berkshire Yeomanry) http://www.army.mod.uk/signals/organisation/8747.aspx
We know times are hard, but not as hard as this will be on our feet!
