I DID IT!!!    In late July 2014, after school had broken up for summer, I (together with my 9 year old brother Jacob- and our parents of course!) climbed the 3 National peaks of

Wales (Snowdon - Yr Wyddfa)

England (Scafell Pike)

and Scotland (Ben Nevis)

....all for the wonderful charity, KIDS IN THE MIDDLE.

We walked up these moutains in all kinds of weather conditions....

When we walked up SNOWDON, we walked up Pyg Track and down Miners track. It was densely foggy, very windy and raining! We couldn't see anything from the top, though I felt I'd made a big achievement and our adventure was off to a great start! Snowdon took us 6 and 1/2 hours up and down. 

SCAFELL PIKE took us 6 hours up and down (from Wastdale Head) and it was a scorching hot day- very glad we wore hats and had Camel packs to keep us going.

BEN NEVIS was the toughest challenge, it took us nearly 9 hours up and down, longer, if i hadn't persuaded the others to take a less traveled short cut down the mountain!!. There was an ice sheet very near the summit of Ben Nevis...in late July!!!.

I had so much fun doing this challenge and so good to raise money for a great case along the way.

KIDS IN THE MIDDLE is a great charity and I'm proud to have been involved.

Kids of separated parents sometimes thinks it's all their fault :-(   IT'S NOT THEIR FAULT!!! I know this charity will help kids realise this. I love doing sport and activities like Football and Ballet. I chose Hill walking as my fundraising event because I knew it was going to be a big challenge, hard work, but also lots of fun. I feel a great sense of achievement having completed  this tough challenge, also having raised as much money as possible along the way :-)
