Funds raised through this walk will go to the University Hospital of Birmingham's research into early diagnosis of colon cancer. This research is led by Mr Tariq Ismail, one of the consultants who helped Pat in her final weeks — and who Betty worked with at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in the cancer clinics.
