Story

Stephen Hedges, Planner at Morris & Spottiswood:

February 8th 2008 my Sister-in-Law Carol [aged only 45] lost her 5 year battle against cancer leaving behind a husband and 2 young sons. My wife Kath was devastated by the loss of her younger sister and struggled to come to terms with her loss.

I tried in vain to get counciling help through the NHS being told it be months before Kath could speak to someone, luckily I was given Beechwood Cancer Care's phone number, a small charity based in Stockport just outside Manchester they kindly arranged for Kath to speak to with a councilor, all at no charge, they rely totally on donations.

I have managed to get 6 willing volunteers [Terry Bedford / Martin Milward / Jason Tighe / Ian McLean / Paul Clay / Robin Evans] to run the Manchester 10k with me on Sunday 17th May 2009 for the Beechwood charity. I have added a link to the web site for anyone that is interested all I would ask is your help to raise as much as we can for this worthwhile cause - no donation is too small every little helps

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Beechwood Cancer Care Centre gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, it makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thanks in advance for all your help.
