Fundraising for Marie Curie
Story
Hi,
Im joining a trek to Mt Everest Base Camp (altitude 5,400 meters) in April 2010 in order to raise money for charity – the Marie Curie Cancer Care Fund. This is a charity close to my heart after losing someone dear to breast cancer.
The challenge demands a lot of training (and aching muscles!), camping, climbing in snow, trekking and hiking and one is often subjected to high altitude sickness or depression, among others.
Im paying all expenses for this trip, and so any donations you make, no matter how large or small, will be going 100% to charity.
