On May 22^nd 2011 Bill and Ben will be running the Edinburgh Marathon. We’re pictured left at the end of the London Marathon in 2005. We will also be running the Great North Run in October.

As in previous years I will be running for Anthony Nolan, a cancer related charity. I've always supported cancer charities, after losing my father, some 30 years ago. In 2004 an ex pupil from a Liverpool school where I taught for ten years sadly died from leukaemia. His mum and younger sister alerted me to the work of the Anthony Nolan Trust. They had turned to the Trust hoping to find a suitable donor.  

Today Anthony Nolan organise the UK’s largest and most successful stem cell register. They use it to save lives by matching donors to people who desperately need a lifesaving stem cell transplant. Often, a transplant is the last hope for a person suffering from blood cancer.

Chris will be running for SANDS - Stillbirth and neonatal death charity. An organistion which have been of great support to Chris and Helen in the past.
