It's that time of year again! Following the tradition of the last two years the Blacks Magic team will once again be taking part in the Martin House Dragon Boat Race on Monday 6 May 2013. Last year we raised a whopping £1,500 (inc Gift Aid) but this year we want to do even better than that. Admittedly, we've not quite won the race as yet but, as they say, it's the taking part that counts and of course raising lots of money for a very worthy cause. 

 

Martin House Children’s Hospice cares for children and young people with progressive life limiting illnesses and provides invaluable support to their families. The rowers on this year's Blacks Magic team are Aimee Hutchinson, Alex Hall, Anna Rollinson, Beth Laidler, Euan Lawrence, Jack Parkinson, James Teagle, Jenny Neary, Nicholas Dyson, Nick Rhodes, Olwen Bailey, Sonia Lonsdale and Stephanie Round. 

 

The race will take place at Roundhay Park on Monday 6 May 2013 and entry for spectators is free! Like last year, it promises to be a fun family day out. We will be providing food and refreshments and there will be various other food vans and games on site. We would love to see you all there, so put the date in your diaries and prepare to cheer our team over the finish line.
