You're so great just to come here and see what we are doing, thank you!  Let me tell you how it all began....

One lovely summer's day last year  I was walking past Wimbledon Theatre and seen what looked like a major gang in the foyer.  There were hoodies everywhere!  However far from the normal uneasy feeling one can have when faced with about a 100 young people blocking your way, these guys were laughing, singing and dancing!  For those of you above the age of 30 (me sadly) you may remember the movie Fame where everyone (Bruno, Leroy etc) was singing and dancing in the streets.  This was it! 

No doubt about it, there was something quite special happening.  I turned around and asked one of the young guys what was going on and he told me he was there for the summer school and had a place at the theatre for a week to learn drama, acting and dance...

So I did a bit of digging when I got to the office and then I stumbled across this amazing charity called the Wimbledon Civic Theatre Trust.  These guys work with disadvantaged kids in south london and through theatre projects - they give them CONFIDENCE, A SENSE OF PRIDE, CREATIVITY, SELF RESPECT and skills on how to relate to others.  All of the kids are underprivileged in some way and some of these kids have been excluded from mainstream school etc etc.  Here was one project that seemed to be sorting them out!

So as you can imagine....working in the City we are far from used to exercise so all of us here at Blue Legal are about to embark on regular training sessions to be able to complete a 10k run for our favourite charity.  This is by no means easy for us (we are all big eaters and drinkers sadly) and this will TEST US TO THE LIMITS!

So whether you want to support the great youth work in south london (which reduces crime and keeps your neighbourhood safe and well) or you just want to see us suffer...please donate a bob or two...
