Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am running the London Marathon (that is 42k) on 25 April 2010 and raising money for the British Red Cross. Thank you in advance for your generosity and support.Latest updateNot being a natural runner and getting bored too easily by running alone, it has taken me quite a bit of effort to keep up with the training. I started training on 1 December (5 months before the marathon) and also gave up drinking. That is no alcohol at all - for those who know me well, it is quite a something for me. None at Christmas and New Year, none at my High School reunion, none on my birthday. Training has been going well - my weekly mileage is over 70k (44 miles) and should peak at near 90k (55 miles). My slow long runs on Sundays have reached 29k, which takes me painfully long 3 hours. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
The British Red Cross, a charity incorporated by Royal Charter 1908, helps people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are. And when the crisis is over, we help them to recover and move on with their lives.
