Last year Rob, Billo and I raised £1620 running in the Man v Horse Marathon as a relay team thanks to your amazing generosity. This year we are going to do it again, but with a slightly different team configuration in the hope that we can raise even more for the British Heart Foundation. My Brother James is going to join Rob and Billo in the relay team and I (suspect stupidly) am going to try and run the event on my own.
A bit about the race:
The Man V Horse Marathon is a race between humans and horses over the Cambrian Mountains- it starts in the Llanwrtyd Wells Town Square and is run over a 22 mile course (run by individuals or relay teams of three) using a mixture of farm tracks, footpaths, forestry roads and open moorland. There are a few short distances over tarmac and t is very hilly with a total ascent of 3000ft.
It took 25 years for the first man to beat a horse…! In our case we will just be happy to finish!
