Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.  I have created it in memory of my son Bradley who died in January 2008 aged one week.  Here is a brief story of my son's short life:

Bradley was born on the 18th January 2008 a healthy little boy weighing 8lb 6oz but after only four days he suddenly became very poorly and had to be rushed to the Special Babies Unit at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle. We were told he had a twisted bowel that required emergency surgery. After operating on Bradley the surgeon told us that his bowel was too badly damaged to be repaired and his chances of survival were slim.  The surgeon was right; Bradley put up an amazing fight but sadly fell asleep on the 25th January 2008.  He was truly an inspiration to all that knew him.

I have chose to donate any monies raised to Sands as they are constantly working to promote research and improvements in practice which could save more babies' lives.  For more information about Sands please click on the following link: http://www.uk-sands.org/

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate: Sands will receive your money electronically and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in Gift Aid will be added to your donation at no cost to you.

Any donation will be greatly appreciated.
