Thanks for being curious and visiting our breast cancer fundraising page.

WHAT ARE WE DOING? - We will be taking part in the 12th Playtex Moonwalk on 16th May 2009. 

WHAT IS THE MOONWALK? - This unique event is a 26 mile moonlit power walking marathon around the streets of London.

WHAT WILL WE WEAR? - All participants are required to wear decorated bras.  As usual we will going one step further and competing in  'Wonder Woman' costumes. 

WHY ARE WE DOING IT? - This is a cause that is close to our hearts and we want to make our contribution to a charity that isn't just about raising money but encourages men and women of all ages to take charge of their own wellbeing.  

WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP US? - Please show your support by sponsoring us and give us some encouragement by leaving a message. 

AND THE WINNER IS:- We crossed the finish line in just over 8 hours.  Footsore and weary but proud of our achievements.  At 8 miles we were spurred on by firemen who had left their station to cheer us on.  Battersea Dogs home looked picturesque by moonlight at 3.00 am. At 18 miles the feet were becoming sore but we battled on bravely cheered on by the encouragement from the marshalls and onlookers. At 23 miles we were on the Mall and  the blisters had well and truly set in.  At 25 miles we didn't have the strengh to open our last bar of milky way and tossed them away fearful the effort would sap our last vestiges of strength.  At 8.08 am we strode over the finsh line, managing in true wonder woman style a spin after them medals were placed round our necks.
