Hey,
As some of you may know I have been talking about doing
hiking along the West Highland way for some time now, well it is now
all booked and I will be setting out from Milngavie on the first leg on
the 22nd August and all being well I shall be arriving in Fort William
on the 26th August largely in one piece. The hike itself is just under
95 miles from start to finish and as you may have guessed I have never
done anything like this before but I am quite looking forward to it.
So why am I doing this?
Many
members of my Family and close Family Friends have been lost to Cancer
over the years and I figured that this would be the best way that I
could raise some money for Cancer Research UK in a relatively short
space of time.
Why am I doing this now?
When I
initially had the idea to do this it was to commemerate the 5th
anniversary of my Godmother passing away, however due to a variety of
reasons I have been unable to do something until now. (by the time I
complete this hike it will almost be the 6th Anniversary)
Thanks for taking the time to visit this page and please give generously :-)
P.S.
I'll be keeping a blog of the weeks and days leading to this and I'll also be trying to keep it up to date whilst I'm on the actual hike. Its viewable at
