Dan finished in 2hrs 30 mins and 27 secs. I completed in 3hrs 2 mins and 58 secs, beating my target of not being last, and finishing in the third quartile of my age group (over 55s). Dan was in the first quartile of his.

It was certainly a new experience - not necessarily one I wish to repeat - but I am glad to have done it.
