Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

As some of you know, over the years I have raised several thousand pounds for different charities when running the London Marathon.

This year, I had been accepted through the ballot for my 10th (and final) Marathon. By being accepted through the ballot, means you do not need to raise money for charity, in order to run. Therefore, what with juggling training for the race, shift work, and the sleepless nights that a three month old baby brings, I decided this year, I would just concentrate on running the race, as I didn’t really have the time to raise money as well.

However, a close friend has just helped a family member through the living organ transplant programme, and it inspired me to want to help others less fortunate than myself once more.

Last year another friend bravely overcome kidney cancer, and indeed my own Mum was found to only have one kidney when I was born.

Therefore, with all of the above taken into consideration, I have decided to raise money this year for the British Kidney Patient Association.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The British Kidney Patient Association gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
