Skanda Vale Hospice is a Day-Centre providing respite care, complementary therapies, practical and emotional support for people with a life-threatening illness. All our staff are trained volunteers and the service is completely free of charge. We are currently raising funds to expand our service to include an in-patient facility.

My story

Hi everyone!

Guess whose going to win the race, the goose, me, or the pretty maiden on the left? Place your bets here or even better join us racing round the streets of London.

On a more serious note Skanda Vale Hospice is a warm and homely place where anyone with a life threatening illness can come and experience wonderful physical, emotional and spiritual care, all completely free of charge.

We offer a service not just for the patient but also for their family. Our respite service affords the patient’s carer some valuable breathing space to rest and recharge their batteries, safe in the knowledge that their loved one is in compassionate and capable hands. Over and over again we have witnessed peoples fear, anxiety and confusion during these difficult times, transformed to relative peace and calm by the love and support they have received at our Hospice.
