We fund research and provide support to anyone affected by breast cancer.

Story

For the event the house has been randomly divided up into 19 different teams. Each member of the team must compete in one of three events: Swimming, Cycling and Running.

The swimming leg take place in the school swimming pool and consists of swimming 3km.

The cycling leg is about a 25 miles mountain bike ride over the Marlborough downs. It incorporates some of Wiltshire's most beautiful areas. The ride along the Ridgeway, although not easy, climaxes with the view from Barbury Castle over the downs to the South and the Thames valley to the north.

The run is about 7 miles up onto the Manton Gallops and the Marlborough Downs. This has a slow incline which peaks at the end of the Manton Gallops, the home straight being a gentile decline back to the college.

This is a charity chosen by the Greene family, after their tragic loss last December. We are very glad to be supporting them and a cause that is so close to many members of C1 and something which affects a large majority of us.

The Breakthrough Toby Robins Breast Cancer Research Centre, at the Institute of Cancer Research, is the result of more than ten years' work by Breakthrough Breast Cancer and its supporters. Currently, seven teams work side by side on a coordinated research program, unraveling the causes and mechanisms of this disease. Benefiting from links with other researchers and clinicians at the Institute of Cancer Research and the Royal Marsden Hospital, scientists at the Centre are at the hub of the largest cancer facility in Europe.
