We thought it would be a good idea to make some money for charity as part of our 2008 LeJoG challenge. Each of the team is doing the event for their own chosen charity and mine happens to be Maggie's.

I chose Maggie's as a friend of mine and his young family were helped through the traumatic experience of being diagnosed with Testicular Cancer, the long process of fighting the disease, coping with the side-effects of the treatments and the stress on the family. Maggie's were a great help; they provided space and understanding and continue to be a support.

So for the privilege of spending approximately 81 hours in the saddle, covering in excess of 960 miles, I'd like to raise some serious cash for Maggie's. The money they raise is used to provide services at existing centres and to design and build new centres. Please visit their website at www.maggiescentres.org and have a look at what they do.
