We need to raise £100,000 towards the cost of replacing the roof, to preserve this vital part of our community’s heritage.

Springett Almshouses provides affordable homes for older, vulnerable residents in our community but the roof is now in urgent need of replacement.

We aim to prevent and relieve poverty by offering safe, well-maintained homes to people who would otherwise struggle to find suitable housing locally.

Almshouses create more than just accommodation — they offer community, stability, and dignity. Residents live independently in a supportive environment that promotes wellbeing, reduces loneliness, and helps vulnerable people remain rooted in the area they call home. Our trustees oversee eleven flats, maintain the buildings, and ensure that each resident is selected based on genuine need.
