Lulu's Legacy

Lulu's Legacy is specifically to help dogs who might need a little extra help, be that medical, behavioural or simply due to their age - we believe EVERY dog deserves a chance, regardless.

Story

People are not always aware that certain rescues will have specific criteria regarding the dogs they will and will NOT take in. Dogs who might have a medical condition or are injured and need attention - dogs who are a bit older and might be harder to rehome - dogs who might be "long stayers" for whatever reason and block a kennel or dogs who need training and behavioural support - if they need too much time, money or attention, they will not be on the top of certain rescues "to take" lists.

We believe every dog deserves a chance.Dogs like Evie, like Pip & Blue, Logan, Louis, Kingsley and Florence  ..... ... every dog deserves a chance!

In April 2015 we were contacted and asked if we could help a dog who was in the Pound and who had had no rescue offers. One look at her face and we were hooked and Squidgy Chops joined us soon after - she was named Lulu and stole so many hearts. As a result of us offering to take Lulu in, we met new people who have become regular, committed volunteers with our Charity, even a new Trustee, and Lulu was given a further chance of happiness with a lovely family.

As well as Lulu we have had dogs like Ted - another one left to say his prayers in the pound - a whirlwind skinny lurcher with no lead manners and Queen Anne legs, who would possibly want him? We said yes. He now has the most charmed life with a family who adore him.

Very sadly Lulu went to the Rainbow Bridge earlier this year but we know she was so very happy and so very loved in her Furever and we want to honour her memory with this fund. Please help us to help those who most need it?

About the charity

FFH was set up to help dogs in need. We work hard to rescue & rehome stray & abandoned dogs, we support some smaller rescues in the UK - and generally try to make a difference, one dog at a time, wherever help is needed! We always need volunteers AND funds if you can help?
