WE DID IT!!
We left Hyde Park at 11.10 on a very cold May night and trudged the streets for the 26 miles. Well done to Geraldine for wearing the bra the whole way around. the rest of us wimped out as it was so cold. We came in at 5.20 which meant that it took us only 6 hours and 10 mins to complete the course. After collecting our medals, we were just having a little sit on the grass before having a cup of tea and contemplating the walk to the station when Louise fainted and the doctor there sent her to A & E at St Mary's, Paddington. After being put on a drip, she was allowed to leave at about 11 and we had to then get home from Paddington!!
If that makes you think that you would like to sponsor us even more, then please do.
Our bras had been decorated by Emma Ladly and were fantastic.
Just to remind you that our colleague and friend Karen Ladly signed up to take part in the Moon Walk but had to pull out when she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in February. Following treatment, the prognosis is good but it has made it even more important that we try to raise as much money as we can for this charity.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Walk The Walk Worldwide gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor us now!
