Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I would like to bring you up to date with my latest fundraising venture. I have been fortunate and privileged enough to be selected for the 2009 London Marathon. Below I have given some details of the very worthwhile causes I hope to raise funds for.

Ok, earlier this year I completed four half marathons with my brother to raise funds for the Huntingdons Disease Association in which we raised £1700 "Fantastic" (my mother and sister died from this terrible disease, and my younger sister is in the later stages).  You then think to yourself then,  how lucky I am to be healthy and living on this earth, you have to be so thankful for what you have in this life and how  fortunate you are than some others around you.  If  we can give a little to help our fellow neighbour, friend, associate or any complete stranger which will enhance there life, and spread a little happiness in the difficult  times ahead they will have to endure  then, call me what you will "I feel privileged and proud to be able to run this Marathon", and so should you for donating on this page.

A  very good friend of mine has inspired me to run this Marathon, and he writes:

"The marathon will be run on behalf of two very worthwhile causes, the first being the Phyliss Tuckwell Hospice based in Farnham Surrey, an estsablishment renowned for its fantastic support for those individuals suffering illness and their families.  Secondly, on behalf of a young family (who is close to my heart) living in the Hampshire area with two very young children.  Sadly one of the parents was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease.  A trust has been set up to help support the family with their future needs, both the practical and the recreational, managed by two trustees.  We respect the request of the family to remain anonymous, but would like to say that the parent has otherwhelmed us with the dignity and strength shown since learning of the illness, they truly deserve our support."

Please sponsor Carl whose tremendous gesture of running the 2009 London marathon for these two worthy cases will be appreciated by those concerned more than words can say.  Thank you.

Right then, lets gets some money for these causes and remember "You are the one making yourself feel good by donating" as you will be helping tremendously, we have the easy part of running and donating.

As this web page has been set up just for the Phyliss Tuckwell Hospice and all funds donated on this web page will go direct to them.  I know it is a little inconvenient.  If you could split your contribution (however large or small) by donating half on line, then if possible send me a cheque/cash/Postal Order (the account number for trust fund is 01591436 sort code 40.08.13 made payable to HSBC) .  You can call me on 07802 660897 or post to: Hi-Speed Services Ltd, Courier House, Aldershot Road, Ash, Aldershot, Hampshire, GU12 6PD.

I would also like to say a Big Thankyou to the following offline donations received so far which go straight into the trust  from-
