Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Between 12th June and 24th June 2007, with a group of 60 riders, I plan to cross the Alps from Geneva to Cannes, cycling 1000 km and climbing 13 mountains and more importantly 87,000 feet in uphill traverse . The ride is organised by Advertising Practitioners Association, to raise money and awareness for Leuka, a charity dedicated to research into the causes and cure of leukaemia based at the Hammersmith Hospital. The cycle is ultimately an endurance ride that in its nature is uncomfortable, tiring and requires determination to continue until completion. In a small way I hope to raise money for this worthwhile cause and understand a littleof the suffering of those with leukaemia. To find out more about the ride and riders , please go to www.fireflies.com. The site provides regular updates on the preparation, the riders and ultimately the cycle ride itself. In the motto of Fireflies cyclists, "for those who suffer, we ride".
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Leuka will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
