In memory of Michael "Mole" Molyneux

Story

RIP dear "Mole"

"My brother, Michael Molyneux, became a WFC fan at the age of 3 when he was taken to Vicarage Rd by our dad. Our dad worked on the turnstiles.

Michael became a programme seller & steward on the away coaches. He also played for the Travelling Hornets.

Once he contracted Parkinson’s disease he moved in to a care home in Peterborough. He managed to persuade the carers to take him to a game at WFC. He sat in the Rookery stand while his friends came to see him. He loved the attention."

Sadly Michael passed away a few weeks ago, aged just 65. My brother's funeral is on 23rd February and I know he would be so thankful if any fans who remember him would like make a donation in tribute to the Community Trust, which was part of Graham Taylor's legacy and works today to make sure that local people can be helped by the club.

Luther Blissett has helped us to set up this page and share it with fans and we know that Mole would be very happy indeed to know one of his idols has done this on his behalf!
