Fundraising for Cancer Research UK
Story
Last year I had 72 girls walk with me and raise money for Cancer Research. This year I am opening it to men and women. All money raised on this site goes to cancer Research Uk. Please help me to raise the money to find a cure for this disease that we will all be affected by in some way, either directly or indirectly.
All money raised in the resort of Kos will be going towards a new machine to process the drugs used in chemotherapy, here at Kos hospital. Remaining money will go towards early detection of colon cancer, providing tests for the community. If there is any money remaining it will be put aside for any further equipment needed for cancer patients and any other help needed for local patients. I have been interviewed by local tv and will also have a feature in the local newspaper. Hopefully a documentary will be filmed to be shown in the winter!!!! All this from a small idea I had one day after reading about Race for life in the Uk!! Just goes to show if you put your mind to something you can make it happen!!!!

OH MY GOD!!!!!
We completed the walk with over 100 people this year, so far in resort, as still awaiting some sponsors, it looks like just over 4000 euro and online 600 pounds!!!! A MASSIVE thank you to all that took part and to those who sponsored us all. I have a vision now of eventually opening a specialist oncology ward here in Kos either within the hospital or outside, ambitious maybe possible though with more support and fundraising!!!! Watch this space for further fundraising events!!!
