Well folks it looks like I won't be manning my tea tent at the end of the Great North Run this year after 13 years.  Why not?  Well I'M RUNNING IT!!  Can you believe it - I've never even ran for a bus before but now I'm going to be pounding 13 miles around the streets of Tyneside.

Having started the training I've got a feeling that I might not win it but I am determined to finish before it gets dark and before the street cleaners move in.

I'm doing it for Children North East so dig deep, sponsor me and help me to reach my target.  For those of you who don't know, Children North East is where I work and for nearly 120 years it has been providing services to some of the poorest children, young people and families in the region.  The work has changed lives and offered opportunities to many thousands of people and your donation will help so many more.
