I am planning on taking part in various events this year to raise funds for the MND association.  For those of you who are not aware, this is an organisation that is very close to my heart, as I have a friend who was diagnosed with MND last year.  Current events on the calendar that I am planning to take part in are:

26th April - Wiggle Enduro 6: a 6 hour mountain bike endurance race.  See how many laps of the 6-mile course you can complete.

Completed this - lots of aching muscles to show for it!  Bon and I managed 3 laps each.  We would have liked to do more, but we set ourselves 3 each as a target so are pleased to have achieved that.

10th May - Knowle Fun Run - a 5-mile run, which may sound easy, but bear in mind I have not run more than 2 miles since a serious knee injury in December 2006.

Sadly missed this as still unable to run.  I have been advised by a physio not to run yet too.  Sooo....

1st November - 53 mile sportive road ride event.  This will be the longest I have ridden on a road bike, so is again another challenge.
