Story
Dear all
At the end of June, we will be taking part in a 9 day trek in the Nanga Parbat range in the Himalayas in Pakistan, raising money for The Citizens Foundation (TCF), www.FTCF.org.uk.
TCF is South Asia's largest not-for-profit organisation in the field of formal education. It builds and maintains schools for under privileged children in Pakistan in the most impoverished parts of the country. Importantly it aims to educate children in a non-discriminatory gender balanced way and encourage the employment of females. It has so far built and run 224 schools and educate about 300,000 children.
When the tragic earthquake hit Northern Pakistan on 8th October 2005, the charity helped provide immediate relief (food, tents, blankets and 3 field hospitals) to over 30,000 earthquake survivors. Now it is planning to construct 5,000 permanent homes in a longer-term reconstruction effort.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: The Citizens Foundation will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. So please sponsor us now!
Please forward this page to anyone who might be interested in sponsoring TCF.
Wish us luck! Many thanks in advance for your support.
