The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.

Story

My first attempt was cancelled due to bad weather!  Trying again on 15th November...

Hello there,

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page

On Saturday 25th October, I am going to be braving my first parachute jump to raise money for Guide Dogs.  I would really appreciate your support.  I also promise to provide some sort of photographic or video evidence to prove I actually did it!

If you are not already swayed by the puppy pictures, or the thought of my ungainly landing appearing on YouTube, here's some more information about the charity:

Guide Dogs provides over 20,000 dogs for blind and partially sighted people in the UK, with each dog costing approximately £35,000 to train and maintain throughout its working life.  The charity also funds a huge amount of eye disease research and offers assistance and ongoing support to blind people who choose not to, or are unable to have a Guide Dog.

Please sponsor me now!

Thank you,

Rachel x
