We offer care, support and information to anyone affected by breast cancer

Story

****Due to myself working in France and to encourage a good level of participation and enthusiasm, the walk will be done in two sections. In June, we will complete the first 50 miles of the walk, and the other half will be completed the following Easter. Thanks for your support and co-operation***

A team of my friends, family and I (Claire) will be walking the first 50 miles of the West Highland Way from 24th June 2011 until 29th June 2011. Please sponsor us via this page. Thank you.

Thanks for taking the time to visit Marjorie's JustGiving page. Marjorie's family set up this page after she passed away after a courageous 10 year battle with Breast Cancer on 1st August 2010. We aim to keep her warm, compassionate legacy alive by organising events over the year to raise money for her cause and to help other families who have also been affected by this devestating disease.

Anybody, at any time can choose to make a donation to this page on top of the funds we raise . Any donation, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated.

Claire- My Mum said to me "In 10 years, there will be no such thing as Cancer, that is what we should believe". Although she lost her battle, it would be her greatest wish to help others who have been touched by this disease. She never thought of herself, only others. She had empathy with everyone, particularly those who had been through the same illness she had; one of the many reasons I am proud to be her daughter. Even when she saw other cancer sufferers who she hadn't even met during her time in hospital, she felt upset and extremely sympathetic to them. I believe to make even the slightest difference to these woman's lives would mean many others would experience the same love and support that Mum touched many people with throughout her lifetime.

Thank you.
